FIRST FRIDAY Homeschool Program -"Armor of Yesterday & Today"

2 to 4 p.m.

How have people protected themselves over the centuries? Students use their observational skills and historic inquiry to investigate armor and discover first-hand how it has changed over time. This program concludes with a live performance.

New exhibit, "Water Works" Opens to the Public

Immerse yourself in the Louisville Water Company's fascinating 150-year history of innovation and public service. You'll follow Louisville's progress from a city so infamous for unsanitary water it was nicknamed the "Graveyard of the West," to its receiving the award for "Best Tasting Tap Water in the Country" by the American Water Works Association.

"Nevermore: An Evening with Poe"

The Frazier Museum brings the terror, grisly surprise and delight of one of America's greatest storytellers, Edgar Allan Poe, to the live stage with music from the University of Louisville Early Music Department, led by Dr. Jack Ashworth.

"Three Roman Emperors" Free Lecture Series
With the help of the Frazier Museum, the Italian Cultural Institute presents "Three Roman Emperors," a three-week series of free lectures.
 
Museum galleries will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Each lecture is at 7 p.m., preceded by a reception at the SkyLoft, ZirMed Towers, at 888 West Market.
