2010 and 2011

Hi there!

Hope all is well with you!  I've been doing a bit of painting, trying to remember how to paint with watercolor!

Happy to report that "Hollyhocks"

"Hollyhocks"
and "Community" will be in the Art
and the Garden show June 8th - July 6th in Traverse City! (in the village of Grand Traverse Commons) It's a collaboration between ArtCenter Traverse City, and the Botanical Garden Society of Northwest Michigan.

"Community"

"Community" is a brand new watercolor... a new direction??? Time will tell.  hehehe

And another thing....You might notice over in the upper left corner, a new article heading called "Bargain of the Week." I'll be offering one painting at 1/2 price just for you newsletter peeps. Nobody else gets this deal... so keep your eyes peeled... one of your favorite paintings might end up there!

Interested in purchasing "Lily in a Jar"? Click here.

As usual, I had quite a few paintings going on at the same time. I only have watercolor here at the condo and I'm enjoying the limitations...

...but my thinker is sore.

You can't be quite as impulsive with watercolor. (no white or opaque color to cover up changes in direction) Here's my table set up. Nifty, eh?

See the fantastically complicated shadow pattern? Yum!

Last night myself and 3 of my good buddies took Kim Santini's grownUP journaling class. (just so you know...you don't have to act grown up in her class)

What fun we had in the very relaxed atmosphere of  Little Monsters toy store in downtown Lake Orion.

All you need to bring is your journal... Kim brings all sorts of pens and paints and ideas for you to run with. (see that materials filled table?)

After class, our group headed across the street to CJ's for a post journaling margarita... cuz that's how we roll. :)

Hoar frost is a beautiful thing! While walking with my friends last February... I could hardly walk for ooohing and aaahing over the gorgeous frost. With my little pocket camera, I snapped a few shots, knowing that they would never measure up to the real thing. This painting is a lovely memory of a lovely morning.

This original un-framed painting, will be lovingly packaged and shipped flat, directly to you from my studio. I take a lot of time with color correction, so that the painting looks just like what's on my monitor...but we all know that monitors vary. And because of that I give a "no risk guarantee"...If you aren't completely satisfied, I will refund your money.

Questions? Just ask!
