Hi there!
I'm baaa-aaack! *waving madly*
It's hard to send a "hot off the easel" when I'm not painting.
It's been a busy and exciting start to 2012... We've added a residence downstate and will divide our time between places. (My husband got a job in Metro Detroit)
I've been doing a lot of teaching here in the Traverse City area... Really enjoying that... It's so much fun to share your passion with like minded peeps!

I taught a color workshop over the winter, and it pushed me out of my comfort zone! Very unusual colors for me. |

Here is a great challenge they set up... scroll down past the description to see the results of the challenge!
"The White on White Challenge
For this week's challenge, let's try to paint white subjects on white backgrounds to see if we can find color and value in all that white! You can use this photo for your reference, or look for something of your own. How about a white dog on a white cushion?
Footprints in the snow? A white teapot on a white drape? See if you can keep your reference to at least 85% white to really challenge yourself.
This one might get a bit (ahem) challenging, so remember to keep smiling throughout the process! Show those pearly whites!"

| 2012...What I'm Celebrating... | | |
This week, I'm Celebrating:
- Having a summer vacation in Michigan in March. It was in the 80's up here... Now we're back to reality.
- Planning a wedding shower for two of my favorite people.
- Walking the trail with friends....yea! (down there)
- Walking the woods with Major...yea! (up here)
- Finding a lovely condo to rent... (down there)
- Having our cable system in the entire house checked and repaired...the internet is zipping along now!
- Finding a really nice dermatologist (the sister of a student)
- Health Insurance through husbands new job
- Watching bald eagles searching the lake for dinner
- Daffodils!
- Getting "this here" newsletter off to you...after a too long break.
