Hey there!
I've had two painting buddies visiting over the last week... and the Gods delivered us this glorious Indian Summer. Timing is EVERYTHING! We've been busy, busy, busy... plein air sketching and laughing and eating. Ya hoo!

Idea Spark-lers
Do you need some painting ideas to get you going? Well, you've come to the right place!

Painting with friends... so inspirational!

For many artists, there is a bit of a let down after you are done painting for a show. I'm experiencing  a bit of that dreaded phenomena. I just don't know quite what to do with myself...which direction to take with my painting. So, I've been stumbling around, trying a bit of this, and a bit of that searching for direction.

I have a couple of very good friends that live in Ontario, and as I mentioned earlier... they are here visiting. Just what the Dr. ordered to get me out of my painting funk.

We've plein air painted, watched art videos, visited galleries, shared books, and bounced ideas off of each other since Saturday.

Below is one of our painting spots... And my effort that morning.

Even if you live close to each other, I suggest having a stayover visit with your artist friends. Nothing like art chat in your jammies over morning coffee... and opening wine at 2:30 pm is fun too.

Buddies are just the best!

Have a Great Week!
