Hey there!
After over a year of trying, our house is sold! I've been packing and sorting and tossing and preparing for a garage sale here in Oxford. (Next Thursday through Saturday if you are interested!)
I'll miss a lot of friends here in metro Detroit, but we are looking forward to calling the Traverse City area, home.
I'll be taking a short break from the newsletter... See you in a bit!

"Moondance"28 x 22Acrylic on canvasI'm showing you a "work in progress" here. This painting isn't quite finished, but I think you can get the idea...
"Moondance" was inspired by a pink moon that I saw last August. I had to stop the car and just admire it and try to deposit it in my memory bank. Cameras rarely can capture what the eye sees.... Or maybe it's just this particular camera operator that can't do it. :)

| Are you in need of some painting ideas to get you going? Well, you've come to the right place!
Keep a scrapbook of images that you like...
I rip out pictures of things that catch my eye whenever I look through my magazines, newspapers or catalogs. Rather than start a new book, I just tape them into my journal.
It's always interesting to flip through your journals. Sometimes I come across something I've saved, and I'm scratching my head trying to remember why I saved it! It's a mystery.
It might be the colors in a photo, that you could use in your work.... or a photo of artwork you admire. Anything that catches your eye.
Photographs add dimension and interest and more importantly, inspiration to your art journal.
And your own personal journals are the best of the best idea spark-lers!
