HLAA NEWSLETTER                                                                                             April 2011

Since the Sheba Medical Center's first art auction and the Armory Show, HLAA has been full speed ahead. We just produced a second video series, The Art World, with live footage of art happenings around town to help keep you connected. We also visited a number of artist studios and lectures which we posted including, Chuck Close, Dustin Yellin and Anne Collier.

Next month, I will be traveling to Seoul and Hong Kong to check out the Asian art scene which has grown significantly. According to ArtTactic, confidence in the Chinese Contemporary market is 21% above the US & European markets. With more funds investing in art, rising interest in emerging markets and a comeback in Warhol sales, our "market barometer", Contemporary art is expected to enter a new phase of rapid growth this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some impressive records at the auctions in May.

Have a great Spring and remember, you can always keep an eye on art with HLAA's facebook page!

Yours truly,
MarkRothko
