The Cherry Blossoms have started to bloom here in DC, which means Spring has sprung! This month we are honored to share with you the amazing story of how Joe McCulloch, PT, PhD, and Philip Vierling, MBA brought relief to Haitian earthquake survivors.
We would also like to thank all of our supporters at CSM 2010 in San Diego! We are pleased to share some good news from CSM...the Section on Women's Health established a $100,000 endowment fund to support women's health physical therapy research! We are proud to expand into this critical area!

PT Brings Relief to Haiti
|
Many within our profession stepped forward to help survivors of January's devastating earthquake in Haiti. We are proud to share one story in which a longtime friend, Joe McCulloch, PT, PhD, partnered with Foundation Trustee and corporate Partner in Research Philip Vierling, MBA, and his company Kalypto Medical, to provide relief in wound care to the earthquake survivors. Congratulations to Rep. Jim Langevin, the Foundation's 2009 Spirit of Philanthropy Award! Rep. Langevin was unable to accept the award when it was announced during the 2009 Dinner Dance, so Bob Brennan travelled to Capitol Hill to deliver the award in person. He is the first quadriplegic to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to advancing rehabilitation and health care. Congratulations and thank you! |
