Greetings!

|
CSM 2010 is just around the corner! We hope to see you in San Diego. There are a number of exciting events taking place and we hope you will be part of the excitement. Visit us at Exhibit Hall Booth #1121. Who knows, you might just win a trip to Hawaii!
This month we also want to thank two retiring Trustees: Connie Hauser and Babette Sanders. They have provided much-needed support over the course of their terms and they will be missed. We are also pleased to welcome three new Board of Trustees members: Larry Benz, Chuck Martin and Mike Mueller. We are excited to have these outstanding individuals serving on our board!
We hope you enjoy learning about a unique gift we received recently, thanks to Christy Stout, and are excited to introduce you to Fay Horak, our featured researcher. As you will see, there is a lot going on with the Foundation!
Aloha!

Donor Offers Unique Gift
|
Christy Stout, PT has supported the Foundation for Physical Therapy for a long time. This past December, Stout found a rather unique way to make a significant gift to the Foundation. A recent contractual dispute with a third-party payer was settled. As the named plaintiff in the dispute, Stout directed that a portion of the settlement be donated to the Foundation, resulting in a gift of $44,406. "I'm thrilled to be able to support the Foundation and our profession in this way. This gift is larger than what I would be able to donate normally, and I am happy to help make this donation happen." All of us at the Foundation thank Christy for ensuring our receipt of this generous gift! |

The New Must-Have Item!
While in San Diego, you may spot some people donning blue or green wristbands. That's because we'll be handing these out to individuals who influence the Foundation the most: our researchers and donors. If you see someone with a blue wristband, they're one of our funding recipients-congratulate them! See someone with green? They're one of our donors - thank them for supporting the Foundation! Want one for yourself? Just stop by the Foundation's booth #1121 and make a contribution! See you at CSM! Never fear! These wristbands are eco-friendly and made of 100% recycled silicone! Friendly to you and the environment! |
