Youth powered solutions for a better tomorrow.December 2010
 globeGreetings!

Holiday greetings from all of us at Ignitus! We're gearing up for an exciting 2011 and we can't wait to bring you the plans we've been working on to help youth succeed around the globe.

We hope you'll cruise our updated Ignitus online store this month and take our survey on how we can improve this newsletter for 2011. Our goal is to provide you with information that will help you as an affiliate leader, youth, Ignitus sponsor, and interested citizen each and every month. Also, feel free to weigh in on our "Issue of the Week" topic about youth in your community.

Thank you for supporting us this year. Your efforts are making a huge difference for our Ignitus Worldwide affiliates. See you in 2011!

Issue of the Week  "A recent University of California study maintains that marijuana use is on the rise with young people. Do you think more kids are using marijuana in your school or community?"

Teen marijuana

Every week, Ignitus youth discuss an issue that's impacting them, their school, or their generation on our website and in social media. We'd like your opinion, too. Click on the photo and feel free to add your experience in the comments box on on our website's "Issue of the Week" page.

"Ignite the Night" Fundraiser Success!

The successful kick-off celebration, transitioning Ignitus Worldwide from Youth Crime Watch of America, was held in Miami Beach at the Coq de Ville at the Gansevoort Hotel on December 10th. The two-hour social event was spearheaded by co-chairs Lindsey Wolfson and Lauren Zuckerman and successfully raised $3,500 with an equal match by an anonymous donor. We thank all of those on the Host Committee for their time and effort to help launch Ignitus in such a high-style fashion! Chris DiCarlo, Ignitus CEO, was especially pleased to welcome so many the new supporters in attendance.
