UPDATES
- We have found an air-conditioned warehouse unit to store food and supplies. We need sponsors to assist us in paying for this each month. The cost for the warehouse is $500 per month this includes utilities. You can donate $500, $250, $100, $50, or $25 each month or a one time gift towards the rental of the storage. This allows us to store food and supplies for distribution.
- We need volunteers to assist us in our office for several hours per week. If you know someone, please tell them to give us a call.
- If you know of a family in need, please refer them to us.

 Food Drive
Our annual food drive held on October 18th was a success. We would like to thank Fisher Island Day School for their support, they donated the most food. The City of Sunny Isles Beach and SurfSide were very supportive. They provided us with all the necessary equipment to make the collection a huge success. CoCo walk gave us a great opportunity to access all shoppers in the mall. We are thankful.
Thanks to all the volunteers who assisted us at these events.
Synergise! and Muzart Hosted a Thanksgiving Family Fitness day and Food Drive for Joshua's Heart on November 22nd. They collected non-perishable food and monetary donations. Kids were entertained with a bounce house, arts and craft while parents enjoyed their work out. Please support these companies, for more information on these companies visit their website at .
 
Food Distribution
Our September 27th and October 24th distribution was successful. Thanks to all the volunteers and the host churches. The process of signing in went smoothly. Our recipient list is growing, we deliver food bi-weekly to 10 elderly or sick individuals, we distribute food to 350 families monthly and we feed 100 homeless individuals every Saturday.
Joshua's Heart was able to have a food distribution on Tuesday November 25th because of ABC Local 10 Careforce Team. Upon learning that we would not be having a distribution for thanksgiving as originally planned, channel 10 came to our rescue. They donated a truck load of food and turkey, and El Dorado donated the truck to transport the food. We were able to distribute to over 350 families.
This event will be shown on ABC local 10 on Thanksgiving day on the news between 12 - 1pm

First Care Home Services provides Joshuas Heart with office supplies and office space each month free of cost. First Care is a Home Care Agency servicing Miami Dade County. They provide nursing services in the home, hospital, or facilities. - Dadeland Mall will host the 7th Annual Simon Evening of GivingŪ. This fun and entertaining private shopping event raises funds for a variety of national, regional and local charities, including the Simon Youth Foundation. Charities raise money through ticket sales to the event with 100% of the funds generated going directly to the participating organizations. Event guests will enjoy exclusive discounts from participating stores, musical entertainment including a special performance by Tito Puente, Jr. (pictured), tastings from South Florida's best restaurants, a fabulous silent auction and more. Tickets are available at Simon Guest Services or from participating organizations. Tickets prices are: $35 General Admission, $75 VIP Admission.
