Spring Enrollment continues for Ivy Tech classes in Youth Development
Introducing...courses from Ivy Tech that can lead to a professional certificate and the Indiana Youth Development Credential

[This is an update since the fall to include information about Spring registration]

Please review the information below and feel free to pass along to your colleagues as well.

 

Indiana YouthPRO and the Journey are excited to be working to support the offering of classes at the regional campuses of Ivy Tech Community College that are affordable and accessible to Indiana's youth workers...and lead to an Indiana Youth Development Credential.


Spring classes will be offered in Indianapolis, Columbus, Fort Wayne, Kokomo, Lafayette and South Bend for The Indiana Youth Development Professional program. Registration for the spring semester is underway, and classes start January 10th. Register soon as the classes are filling fast!


The following classes are being offered:

          IYDP 101

o   Muncie

o   Columbus

o   Indianapolis

o   South Bend

o   Lafayette


        IYDP 102

o   Indianapolis

o   Kokomo

Introducing...The Ivy Tech Community College Indiana Youth Development Professional Certificate
From the Ivy Tech brochure...

The 18-19 credit Indiana Youth Development Professional Certificate is designed to help you understand the unique challenges facing adolescents and young adults in our rapidly changing world, understand and apply conceptual approaches to youth development, and to display an understanding of the development and impact of local, regional, state, and federal policies on youth.

In this certificate, students will focus on working with youth in service organizations.

The Indiana Youth Development Professional Certificate may be completed as preparation for the Indiana Youth Development credential (IYD) or as part of the technical certificate or associate of applied science in human services degree.
The Curriculum (18-19 Credits)

IYDP 103 Health and Safe Environment              3 credits
IYDP 104 Content and Curriculum for the
