Greetings!
 
We wanted to pass on information from the Aquidneck Island Watershed Council about their upcoming seminar on stormwater management.
 
 
THE EVENT:

When: Thursday, January 15th at 7:00PM

Where: Community College of Rhode Island Main Auditorium, Newport Campus

Who:  - Bruce Morton, well-known conservation engineer who spearheaded the "Hole in the Wall" outdoor environmental classroom in Niantic, CT.

          - Tom Spears, Niantic's Chief Engineer when the Hole in the Wall project was conceived and implemented.

          - David McLaughlin, Director of Newport's very own Clean Water Access, will give an update about where his group is with testing the local waters.

What: An hour presentation and then a question/answer session.

Why: Let's hear what these folks have to say about their successes and failures with this cutting edge storm water management and see if a similar plan could be used with our local system. Also come meet other interesting people wwho share you love of the local environment.
