Supporters of Raising A Reader MA bike in the annual Rodman Ride for Kids and help raise nearly $60,000 a year to support children and families learning to close the achievement gap by reading together at home.

Team Raising A Reader MA is starting to train for the nation's 3rd largest charity cycling event, the Rodman Ride for Kids. 

Scheduled in 2012 for Saturday, September 29th, cyclists are collecting pledges and preparing to ride 25, 50, or 100 miles to help raise readers across the Commonwealth.  

There are three ways you can support Team Raising A Reader MA:

• Ride 25, 50 or 100 miles. Hop onto our website to register as a cyclist. When you do we'll be in touch with a fundraising toolkit AND we'll order a Team Raising A Reader MA jersey for you.
• Make a pledge online. Hop onto our website to make a gift for the team. Our goal is to raise at least $20,000 in pledges for our cyclists.
• Volunteer to help on ride day. Email Gretchen Kinder to learn more about individual and corporate volunteer opportunities on ride day, Saturday, September 29th.

PS: We did it! We raised $74,000 in the Spring Into Reading Annual Fund campaign, This made it possible for us to receive a $70,000 matching grant from Strategic Grant Partners. With $144,000 more than 1,000 children and families will close the achievement gap by accessing our evidence-based early literacy services. Thank you!
