| Experience Epiphany at St. Mary Magdalene! |
| January 6, 2012 : The Twelfth Day of Christmas |
|
Epiphany [ih-pif-uh-nee].
Among several definitions, an epiphany can be a sudden, intuitive perception or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by a simple or commonplace occurrence or experience.
This time of year, we often make resolutions... to lose weight, be more attentive to our relationships, or in some way to improve our lives. Many of us are searching... seeking a greater purpose, looking for answers to universal questions... perhaps we don't even know what we are searching for; but somehow we feel like we haven't quite found it. And yet, the answers very often become clear in the ordinary times of life: in an interaction with our children, at a daily meal, or in a prayer experience.
What are you seeking?
Come to St. Mary Magdalene - for Mass, for Families in Faith, to join a ministry or club - and see how your insight grows. Perhaps 2012 is the year of your Epiphany!
Sincerely,
St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community

| Make 2012 the Year YOU Get Involved! |
|
Ask anyone who participates in a ministry at St. Mary Magdalene, and they will surely tell you one of the best parts of this community is the people. Being part of something bigger than yourself helps others, helps yourself, and can lead to your Epiphany!
So make this the year you got more involved... make new friends, connect with others, share the Gospel message... discover what you are searching for. All are welcome!
Help change peoples' lives for the better! St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community 32114 Vine Street Willowick, Ohio 44095 440-943-2133 |

Got your tickets?
Come celebrate our 63rd Anniversary on Saturday, January 21! The festivities begin with 4:30pm Mass in Church, followed by 5:30pm dinner in the gym.
Help us honor Elaine Aranavage, as she retires from SMM! For nearly thirty years, Elaine has been dedicated to maintaining the buildings of our campus and quietly helping whenever needed. From spearheading our Market Day program, to supporting the staff, to keeping classrooms and the church orderly, Elaine has been a witness of love. Join us as we congratulate her on her much-deserved retirement and thank her for the many years of faithful service.
Stewardship Awards Since 2008, our anniversary celebration has also included recognition of parishioners who have exhibited dedication to living life as a disciple of Christ through the practice of stewardship. This year, we will honor award winners in various age ranges, from teens thru our octogenarians!
Most importantly, our Anniversary Celebration is an opportunity to share a great meal with the SMM family (catering by Ed Regovich!) and to spend time "doing the ordinary to experience the extraordinary". Won't you join us?

Fr. Ron will be on sabbatical in Rome January 30 - April 17, 2012.
Taking time in prayer, study, and reflection is very important. Fr. Ron has been offered the opportunity to participate in the Diocese of Cleveland Sabbatical Program this year, just before he celebrates his 20th anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood and his 50th birthday.
As he visits Rome and other beautiful cities in Europe, Fr. Ron will bring with him our prayer intentions, and will be celebrating Mass daily. If you'd like schedule a Mass intention, please stop in the parish office. We are confident that he will return refreshed and ready for many more years of service in the Diocese of Cleveland, with lots of pictures and great stories to share! | | Click here for more details about Fr. Ron's sabbatical. |
