This Month's Internet Gems!
There's always new, juicy things on the Internet that you can use in your classroom! ScienceMan would like to call your attention to the following gems:
- Wisc-Online Learning Objects - wow! 2300 learning objects and counting, with many more in the works. Most of these objects are free to use and are of amazing quality. For example, check out this object: Retro-reflective Optical Sensors - a great example of a real-world application of the law of reflection!
- Bottle Biology - who knew you could do so much biology with a simple pop bottle? This site gets top marks for describing excellent activities that you can do with the simplest of materials. Your students will love these activities!

ScienceMan Heartily Recommends!
Wouldn't it be great if you could demonstrate something on your computer for your students, and automatically have a recording of it? What if that recording was saved on the Internet for future reference? What if it could be viewed by your students anywhere, with a single click? Oh... and what if this was all FREE?
Well guess what? It already exists, and it's called Jing!
Using Jing is ridiculously easy. Download the software and sign up for an account. Then, start making Jing videos! All you'll need is a microphone on your computer if you want to include audio. Jing records any area of your desktop, then uploads the result to Screencast.com.
Instead of yakking on about it, let's give you an example. Click on the following image to view a short diffraction tutorial ScienceMan made using Jing:
So there's no better time than the present to Download Jing and start making your own videos!
