This Month... October 3: CERT Training Class (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) Assistance is needed in setting up the morning skills areas and final drill scenario for the CERT training class. It is very important we have a large number of volunteers for the afternoon drill who are willing to serve as role-play victims. RSVP: RSVP CERT Training
October 4: Business Resiliency Workshop (7:30 AM to Noon) at the Anaheim Convention Center, Free parking. Volunteers are needed to assist with registration and guiding individuals from the Parking lot to the workshop room location. RSVP: RSVP Business Workshop Assistance
October 6: City County RACES Drill More information TBA
October 12: Point of Dispensing Training (2:00-4:00 PM) Anaheim First Christian Church, 520 W. South Street. Please attend this training if you plan on assisting during the October 19 Flu POD exercise. RSVP: RSVP Point of Dispensing Volunteer
October 18: The Great California ShakeOut Be sure to register on www.shakeout.org as a participant
October 19: Point of Dispensing (POD) Exercise Volunteers needed to assist during the exercise in directing the public through the flu clinic. Deadline to RSVP to participate is October 8. Please use the RSVP link above.
Looking Ahead...
November 6: Presidential Election Polling Coverage (8:00 to 11:00 PM) Assistance is needed for ballot collections traffic control and radio communications at two locations in Anaheim: Canyon Hills Library and Anaheim Police Department. Please RSVP here to assist: RSVP Election Ballot Assistance
Depending on selected polling locations, there may be additional need for volunteers at Fire Stations serving as polling sites. As more information becomes available, we will send out the request.

Meeting Schedule Changes | |
| 2013 will bring changes to our volunteer meeting schedule
As our volunteer program grows to involve specialized training we will be changing from a monthly meeting format to a new quarterly meeting and training. Team Captains at each of the team sites will be encouraged to host meetings in non-quarterly meeting months with their local groups. Additionally, we will host specialized training classes throughout the year, so pay attention to our announcements and City calendar.
This year we will meet as one large group, once a quarter with the following schedule:
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at North Net Training Center Saturday, January 12, 2013 Saturday, April 13, 2013 Saturday, July 13, 2013 Saturday, October 12, 2013

We value your dedication to the program and to the community! RACES has been providing strong leadership for 60 years and CERT i  s leading the way in community preparedness with 20 years of service. Help us recognize these program milestones!
