This Month...

September 8CERT Rodeo Skills Refresher (8:00 AM-4:00 PM)
The Anaheim Fire & Rescue Department staff will be on hand to provide a series of skills training refresher stations.  All volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend.  A portion of the training will combine with the CERT class that ends on 9/8 for a highly interactive afternoon drill.  Please RSVP by calling (714) 765-6955.

September 11CERT/RACES Training Meeting (6:30-8:30 PM)
Sgt. Pena has helped to arrange Active Shooter training for our combined CERT & RACES meeting.

Volunteers Needed for CERT Class
Next CERT Training Class
The next Anaheim CERT Training class will be held Wednesday, September 5, 19 and October 3.  Assistance is needed with class set-up, registering volunteers and assisting with class management and organization.  Please arrive at 7:00 AM for morning and by 1:00 PM for afternoon shifts,  The class will end at 4:00 PM each class meeting

Please confirm your availability to assist with the class by calling (714) 765-6955.

National Preparedness Month Campaigns

Your help is sought in communicating a number of our preparedness campaign elements to members of your community!  You can pick up fliers at the EOC and deliver them to your neighbors throughout the month.  If you attend any local or neighborhood meetings, feel free to pass along the preparedness information as well.

Active Shooter Training
Understanding Active Shooters and Learning Your Reaction
In partnership with the Anaheim Police Department, Anaheim CERT and RACES volunteers are invited to a joint meeting where PD will be presenting information on Active Shooters and Suspicious Activity Reporting.  A full 2-hour training program will be offered, and we encourage you to attend.

Tuesday, September 11
6:30 - 8:30 PM

 Training will be at the Anaheim EOC, please confirm your attendance by calling (714) 765-6955.

Red Cross offers Shelter Training

Orange County California Citizen Corps Council (OC5) would like to invite you and your volunteers to a Shelter Training class being held on Saturday, September 29th.   The training will be held at the American Red Cross, in Santa Ana from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Attached are instructions and link to register for the class.  The course is capped at 100 students and your timely registration is required.
