May 12: West Anaheim Community Event Location: Twila Reid Park Volunteers are needed to assist at the Fire Department Booth. Please confirm with Mary Jo at (714) 765-6955.
May 12: Fire Service Day Location: North Net Training Center, 2400 E. Orangewood Ave. Time: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Volunteers are needed to assist for various fire department activities including booth set-up, general event operations, communications and much more. You will report to an assigned Team Captain who will report to the Operations Section Chief or Incident Commander. June 5: RACES Meeting (6:15 -8:15 PM) Topic: TBD
June 9: Flag Day 5K Run Race Support (7:00 AM- 12:00 PM). Volunteers are needed to assist with radio communications for the 5K Race and parade that follows the race. Both CERT and RACES volunteers are needed. Please RSVP volunteer intent to:
June 12: CERT Meeting(6:30-8:30 PM) Captain: Russell Farrell, Modjeska Park Topic: Managing Donations & Spontaneous Volunteers Location: Anaheim CERT Training Room
June 16: Hi Neighbor Search & Rescue Exercise (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM). This will be an official volunteer exercise in which materials will be distributed door-to-door supporting Hi Neighbor as well as Anaheim Fire Watch. The exercise will review ICS as well as actually distributing materials to neighbors.
June 23-24: RACES Field Day RACES will participate in the annual field day events at Ronald Reagan Park beginning at 9:00 AM Saturday, June 23 through 12:00 PM Sunday, June 24. The public will be invited from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday for a Hi Neighbor Emergency Preparedness Block Party where they can learn about preparing for disasters.
