Pedal Power: Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Icon Generates Funding for the WOCN
Society Foundation's Scholarships
Dr. Katherine Jeter, a pioneer in the field of Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) nursing, spent the summer training---training for a 3,100 mile, cross-country bike tour to raise $200,000 for the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society Foundation Scholarship Fund!
It's true! Dr. Jeter has selected the WOCN Society Foundation as the beneficiary of her cycling tour, Cycling for Scholarships, which begins March 4, 2011 in San Diego, Calif. and concludes April 29, 2011 in St. Augustine, Fla. Her "serious" cycling career began in 2007 at the age of 69 with the goal of cycling 70-miles on her 70th birthday for charity. Now, she is directing her pedal power toward WOCN Scholarships...but she needs your help to reach her $200,000 goal!
