Greetings! Find out what is happening at the SAFEHOUESE, how you can organize your own FUNDRED display, and participate in the FUNDRED Challenge! Read on for details...
|
The SAFEHOUSE is Chock-Full of FUNDREDS!
|
|
Since opening on October 31, 2008, SAFEHOUSE has been visited by thousands of locals, national and international travelers, celebrities, educators, students, tour groups, and school trips!
SAFEHOUSE has provided a platform to present the entirety of OPERATION PAYDIRT: the environmental issues, science, and solutions.
Visitors check out FUNDREDS on display at SAFEHOUSE
SAFEHOUSE, in the midst of its four walls, offered the significance of gathering and presenting thousands of FUNDREDS as individual precious objects. This exhibit of these expressions has amazed and humbled all of us. Most visitors take their time as they view and compare the drawings on the wall. It is a sight to be respected.
Find more info on SAFEHOUSE, and view our updated resources, by visiting the website: fundred.org. If you have checked in recently, you know the website is constantly evolving; we invite you back and encourage you to share with friends.

Your own SAFE Display!
|
|
You can do this too!
No, you
don't need to install a functioning 1,000 pound bank vault door into a
local house, but you CAN create your own version of this creative
expression! A simple exhibition of FUNDREDS, created locally and displayed publicly, is a powerful statement.
See what folks in New York and Delaware are up to!

Multiple exhibitions across the nation are growing in all shapes and forms. We would love to work with you to organize a FUNDRED Display in your area. Collaborations with museums or galleries are a great way to develop supporting partnerships and promote the project in your area. Which leads us to the FUNDRED Challenge...

The FUNDRED Challenge
|
|
If you are receiving this e-mail, you have already expressed an interest in the project and understand its beauty, power and potential to support important environmental and social health programs. You already know the Sous Terre armored truck will only be deployed when 3 million students (and adults!) have contributed their creations. We all need to do our part to grow the FUNDRED reserves. Are you committed to seeing the project through?
We are asking that you contact 2 other schools to inspire their involvement in the project. Can you work your network of educators and other community members to help reach the FUNDRED goal?
Contact a teacher or principal at another school NOW to let them in on this exciting teaching opportunity and to get school-wide participation in the project.
Here are a few tips:
- Work with teachers (in Art, Science, Social Studies, English or any other interesting class) to mobilize an entire school's involvement.
- Work with your principal to mobilize an entire school's involvement.
- Organize a FUNDRED Day-where organized events give all of the students a chance to create a FUNDRED.
- All-school assemblies RoCk! These are great ways to introduce the project to the student body, hand out FUNDRED templates, and get the finished creativity turned back in then and there.
- Introduce the project with the OPERATION PAYDIRT PowerPoint.
- Check out the new FUNDRED lesson plans
- We can provide color templates to schools at little or no cost to assist in your efforts. Contact questions@fundred.org...
- Don't let your students, and others, miss the opportunity to be part of a nationwide project!

February 15 is the next vault accounting!
|
|
The next FUNDRED accounting will be held February 15. Let's see if we can all work together to double our numbers! Please direct all completed bills to a FUNDRED Collection Center so that your bills can be included in the count! (If you are still holding on to your bills for display purposes, please contact your Collection Center so they can anticipate and include your FUNDREDS as we update the Vault.)
