FUNDRED gets rolling with the start of 08-09 school year

Okay, school is now back in session! We hear from some of you that FUNDRED is a great project to do in the first few weeks of school.  It is a fun way to get students thinking about art, history, social studies, community service, etc.  It is also a nice way to get to know your students.  Visit fundred.org for information on how to get started, lesson plans and other essential documents.  Now is the time to start FUNDRED in your classroom...no time like the present!!

Many of our operatives have spread the word and shared the project with others in their school, district, region, and state in a variety of settings.  We are happy to facilitate your efforts and we have created a high level PowerPoint presentation that is a resource for your use.

FUNDRED worksheets available

We have made arrangements to assist you with getting color FUNDRED worksheets.  By ordering a massive quantity of worksheets the costs have been significantly reduced and affordable.If the cost of printing is prohibiting you from participating in the project, please contact us and we will let you in on the deal!

Nationwide FUNDRED Presentations

The FUNDRED Team, and many of our very motivated Operatives across the country, were busy this summer giving FUNDRED presentations, including:

  • Keynote speech at the Empire State Partnerships Summer Seminar in Brookville, NY
  • The Integrated Center for Art Education in Greeley, Colorado
  • De Young Museum in San Francisco, California.

FUNDRED Operatives are currently getting ready to present the project across the country at the State Art Education Association Conferences. 

We are still looking for Operatives to assist in the following state conferences:

Indiana, French Lick, November 9, 2008
Connecticut, Waterbury, October 27, 2008
Maryland, Annapolis, October 17, 2008
Wisconsin, Sheboygan, October 31, 2008
