March 26-March 30 2008 the FUNDRED Team, and associated cohorts, mingled with 3800 arts educators at the National Art Education Association Conference in New Orleans.

Mel Chin made a surprise appearance at the Art:21 Professional Development Session when he interrupted producer Kelly Shindler who generously gave over the podium.  The standing room only crowd was asked to participate as "operatives" to help with the FUNDRED making across the country.

For Your Eyes Only, an Operation Update was high-level briefing for educators.  The session began with a serious performance by the FUNDRED TEAM that introduced the large New Orleans focused landscape recovery project and the participating scientists and landscape architects.  After presenting the project in detail and answering questions, Mel invited the 300-plus attendees to create their own FUNDRED BILLS.

The finale of this super session was the unveiling of the armored truck, which traveled all the way from North Carolina to the convention center with not a minute to spare.

The educators we met were enthusiastic...as are all of you.  And we are happy to report we are already seeing increased FUNDRED activity.

As the numbers continue to crawl in, we have officially updated our FUNDRED vault.   Of course, we still have a long way to go, but FUNDRED is catching on!

We understand there are more FUNDREDS out there.  Please send your completed FUNDREDS to the collection center in your area!  Note that the number of Collection Centers continues to grow.  Hyper Link to collection center
