Impressive Results
We are pleased to announce a great showing at two recent wine competitions. Our 2007 Cabernet Franc won a Silver Medal and our 2008 Pinot Gris won a Bronze. This prestigious wine competition had 499 wines entered from over 50 different wineries. Medals at any level in this competition is a great accomplishment.
At the All Canadian Wine Championships the wines produced by our talented team earned 3 Gold Medals and a Bronze. The Gold Medal winners are: 2008 Unoaked Chardonnay, 2008 Calamus White and 2007 Calamus Red (now sold out but soon to be replaced by our 2007 Reserve Red). Our 2008 Pinot Gris won a Bronze.

Sunset Dinner and Star Gazing
We are building on the success of our first on site Winemaker's dinner held in January with a Sunset Dinner and Star Gazing on Thurs. July 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the winery. We hope for a beautiful summer evening and will start you off the with a glass of wine and appetizers on the deck ~ followed by a four course dinner in the event room. Back by popular demand is Chef James Cuttriss from "The Heat is On Catering". Weather permitting, we will end our evening with a look at the stars using the telescope in the observatory. Tickets will sell quickly so please contact the winery to book your spot - $85 per person includes taxes and gratuities. |

At how many places can you enjoy a beautiful vineyard view, enjoy a great glass of wine and have your own picnic? Calamus is one of the few wineries where you can experience this relaxing summertime pursuit.

New Releases
Yes, the 09 Gewürztraminer is finally available and it promises to be another winner. This wine has become a perennial customer favourite so hurry in to stock up for your summer parties.
We have also released our 2008 Barrel Aged Chardonnay and our 2007 Red Reserve will follow very soon - an amazing follow up to the first version.
