GENERATIONS OF CONSERVATION GALA

Thank you to all the attendees and donors of our Generations of Conservation Gala on October 8. Over 330 people enjoyed a night to honour George C. Reifel's contribution to conservation. Brian and Jennifer Burke were wonderful MCs while Leon and Eric Bibb performed amazing music with Lisa Maxx, Jane Mortifee and pianist Bill Sample. Special appreciation to Best Entertainment for Wings Over Canada footage and KJM Country Gardens for native plant displays.

October FundraiserThank you to all the people who joined us for the Fall Fundraiser on October 25 at the Rod & Gun Pub in Parksville. We greatly appreciated all those who bought tickets to the event, bid on the silent and live auctions, as well as the 50/50 tickets.

TD FRIENDS OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Supports the 2009 Brant Wildlife Festival
 
TD Friends of the EnvironmentRecognizing the importance of connecting people of all ages with nature and inspiring them to learn more about conservation, TD Friends of the Environment has donated $4,000 to the 2009 Brant Wildlife Festival.
 
This funding will help to ensure that the events during March and April in Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Nanaimo are low cost or free for participants. 

We would like to acknowledge TD Friends of the Environment for their wonderful generosity in supporting the 2009 and 2008 festivals.

Sustainability Speakers Series Urban Ecology: Green Roofs and Other Design Strategies
