Are You Better Off Than You Were Four Years Ago?
  • No president has ever asked to be re-elected with this many Americans out of work. No incumbent has been re-elected with unemployment over 7.2 percent since FDR.
  • President Obama has told us that this is all someone else's fault and asks us for another four years to 'get it right.'
  • More Americans have lost their jobs under President Obama than any other president since the Great Depression. President Obama responds to this fact by giving us a series of excuses, alibis, and scapegoats.
  • Family income has fallen by $4,000 in the Obama economy, crushing the middle class. Health insurance policies are higher, food prices are higher, utility bills are higher, and gasoline prices have doubled.
  • Today nearly one out of every six Americans is living in poverty, meaning more Americans are living in poverty than ever before. Poverty rates are headed toward a 50 high.
  • President Obama plans to raise taxes on small businesses.
  • The president's trillion dollar cuts to our military will eliminate hundreds of thousands of jobs and put our national security at risk.
  • President Obama raided Medicare monies in the amount of $716 billion in order to finance Obamacare.
  • Unemployment has remained above 8 percent for 42 months.
  • Chronic unemployment is the highest in recorded history.
  • On Sunday, September 9, 2012, Governor Martin O'Malley, a top Obama surrogate, said Americans are not better off than they were four years ago.
  • President Obama is out of touch. He has no idea what Americans are going through in his economy. There is no doubt Americans are not better off today than they were four years ago and Americans know it.

NFRW Campaign Committee Introduces: Women Swing the Vote 2012, Part 1

The National Federation of Republican Women are some of the most influential leaders in our nation. We are called on to return our country to the people, bring prosperity, security, and good health care to our families, to support women in business, to improve education for our children, and to return this land to the image and dreams of our founding fathers. We hope you will use these ideas to "Get Out the Vote." It has never been so important and we have total faith in your ability to Swing the Vote.
The Church Lady Program:
No place in your county do more people meet regularly than your place of worship. Your faith is being tested and questioned and it is entirely appropriate to ask your fellow worshipers if they have registered to vote. Since it is a public place you must stay nonpartisan.
Ask your clergy if you can hand out voter registration forms after church or at church events. Make it clear that you will not mention political parties. If at all possible, have the voter fill out the application when you give it to him or her, so that you can take it directly to the Election Administrator's office. Some will want to take them in themselves so be sure to be polite and let them know that this would be perfectly fine.
You may be surprised at how many people in your congregation are not registered and would be grateful that you have made it so easy for them. Remember, your faith is being challenged in this country. We will need every vote and you are in the best organization to get those votes.
Table Talk Registration:
Where it is permissible, set up a table to register voters in your county. Remember, do not identify yourself as a Republican at a public location. Voter registration is nonpartisan unless at a Republican event. If you have a Republican headquarters, a grocery store, an event at the park, a movie theater or a county festival, a table with candy or donuts and coffee can attract people to register.

Signs that say, "The Vote is a Precious Gift, Use It!" or "Being an American is a Privilege," or "Vote!" can be effective in making people respond to your table. Make sure that you use patriotic colors and decorations to call attention to what you are doing.  Many of you have followed these suggestions before and we know that you will do an effective and beautiful job to register as many voters as you can to help our candidates. This year it is imperative that we win and you are a major player in that win. Good luck!
The Reverse Parade:
      1) This is so much fun. Choose a heavy traffic corner in your community. Dress in your best patriotic clothing and be sure to bring plenty of American flags and Romney-Ryan signs. When people are going to work or coming home it's a good time to hold a reverse parade. From this location you can wave to the traffic and promote attention to our candidates. Include local candidate signs when available.
     2) Be sure that you do not block the sidewalk and you may want to check in with the local police to make sure it would be permitted. Others have done a reverse parade and they have had great success.
     3) Be sure that a member of your club has a camera and is in charge of seeing that a picture and article on the event gets in the local newspapers.
