When good things happen, knock on them. That is my mother's translation of a Yiddish saying which means, celebrate the good stuff. Here I am, pretty in pink, with Albert and our children at my nephew's wedding in NYC. I was determined not to wear black. My sons made their own VT fashion statement.

History Lesson
Here is Max Bundy an innovative and dedicated German school headmaster. His students were the children of democratic politicians, leaders in the arts and prominent intellectuals. He was a Lutheran, but because of his Jewish heritage his school was closed. He received a Nazi letter saying he was unfit to teach Aryan youth. For the duration of World War II, the school was in Vermont, first in Windsor and then at the Wilburton Inn. Now you know.

Delicious Dining
You eat first with your eyes and then with your mouth. Is this from a fortune cookie? No, my mom and her sayings strike again. Chef Didier has been getting rave revues for his Mediterranean inspired dinner. Foodies pay attention. Here comes Pearl with a tray of delicious tapas for our Tapas and Tunes Evening with Angela Kaset. Pearl's tray has oyster shooters, clam cakes, mussels with fresh corn, braised beef, and octopus.

 Meet Dennis and Prebble. This super smart couple brought the Jaguar Club of New England to us for a mystery destination get away. They planned the course, designed the map, room assignments and the wonderful six courses gourmet victory dinner. Members were given directions like Turn left at the third tree. Left? Yes that's Right! |
