The Singer's Spirit Newsletter from Lisa Houston Summer 2010
|
Hello Friends & Singers,Happy Summer! This issue includes three articles. The first "Breathing Out" is last in a four year series of articles for Classical Singer Magazine on the topic of inspiration for singers. It includes a discussion of new beginnings with an appreciation of Broadway star Elaine Stritch. The second article is a review of an excellent book by singer and teacher Janet Williams called "Nail Your Next Audition." I wrote the third article "Three Friends Who Never Met" about three dear friends of mine. To call them a sculptor, a singer and a scholar is unfairly narrow of me, but perhaps enough to pique your interest.
The Singer's Spirit is available as a website: The Singer's SpiritMay we lift our voices together, and fill the world with song!LisaThe Singer's Spirit is dedicated to cultivating the love and art of singing among professionals and amateurs, and helping to build self-esteem and happiness in singers.
