Hello Friends & Singers,

Happy Summer!  This issue includes three articles.  The first "Breathing Out" is last in a four year series of articles for  Classical Singer Magazine on the topic of inspiration for singers. It includes a discussion of new beginnings with an appreciation of Broadway star Elaine Stritch.  The second article  is a review of an excellent book by singer and teacher Janet Williams called "Nail Your Next Audition."  I wrote the third article "Three Friends Who Never Met" about three dear friends of mine.  To call them a sculptor, a singer and a scholar is unfairly narrow of me, but perhaps enough to pique your interest.
