Special events coming to Maui and O`ahu...
The ZAP Spring Tour: Zinfandel Grand Tasting

For Wine Advocates, Especially Zinfandel

GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!

ZAP member wineries who specialize in Zinfandel will be staging tastings to meet the public and the trade. Participants can mingle with top winemakers and principals, learn about the remarkable richness and versatility of Zinfandel and discover why Zinfandel is "America's Heritage Grape."

On O`ahu:
WHEN: Sunday, May 23 from 4 - 7 pm ... public event
Monday, May 24 from 1 - 5 pm ... trade event
WHERE: Hale Koa Hotel, 2055 Kaila Road
A Toast to Our Troops - public event takes place May 23 from 4 - 7 pm.
The public event
features small bites prepared by the following talented local chefs:
· Executive Chef Michael Kurch - The Hale Koa Hotel
· Chef Jon Ng - Biba's Restaurant at the Hale Koa Hotel
· Executive Chef Robert Denis - Don Ho's Island Grill
· Chef JJ Luangkhot - JJ's Bistro & French Pastry
· Chef Elmer Guzman - Poke Stop
Tickets for the public tasting are $59 per person for non-members and can be purchased on line at www.zinfandel.org. Some tickets may be available at the door for $69 per person. Zap members can also purchase tickets online.
A Toast to Our Troops - trade event takes place May 24 from 1 - 5 pm. Trade tasting is for qualified trade only. Participant must be a representative of licensed on- or off-premise wine buyer/seller. This includes distributors and licensed brokers, restaurants and retailers. Certified sommeliers are also eligible for trade status.

On Maui:

WHERE:Maui Culinary Academy located at Maui Community 

310 West Ka'ahumanu Avenue in Kahului

Public Tasting event takes place May 21 from 6 - 8:30 pm.  Nine two-person student chef teams from the Maui Culinary Academy will compete in a people's choice cook off.

 

Tickets for the public tasting are $55 per person for non-members and can be purchased on line at www.zinfandel.org.  Some tickets may be available at the door for $65 per person.  Zap members can also purchase tickets online.

 

Trade Tasting event takes place May 21 from 1 - 5 pm.  ComplimentaryTrade Tasting is for qualified trade only.  Participants must be a representative of licensed on or off premise wine buyer or seller.  This includes distributors and licensed brokers, restaurants and retailers.  Certified sommeliers are also eligible for trade status.
