WHOLE FOODS

LOCAL PRODUCER LOAN PROGRAM
In just two years, Whole Foods Market has provided $2.5 million dollars in low-interest loans to small, local producers through its
 Local Producer Loan Program.

So far, Whole Foods Market has provided almost 50 low-interest loans to local producers throughout the U.S., with an additional 20 applications pending.
Loan recipients have included organic vegetable farmers, a heritage turkey grower, a producer of natural body care products, and a host of artisan food producers. Applications for loans are accepted on a rolling basis, so the doors are still open despite the nation's credit crunch!

See the program's success for yourself.

Edible Hawaiian Islands Magazine
 MISSION

To connect the dots between our islands,  celebrating family farmers, bakers, fisherman,
ranchers, poultry farmers, local chefs and the rest of the community for their dedication to
producing the highest quality fresh and seasonal foods. We want to highlight those efforts
towards a more sustainable and safe food system in The Hawaiian Islands.

We are a statewide publication, and the only
100% food publication in the Hawaiian Islands,
printed in Honolulu.
