Greetings!
This
month I am thinking about my career and what I do for a living. Do you love
what you do? Are you fulfilled, honored, respected and validated? Are you
excited in the morning to embrace what is before you, look forward to the
people you will work with? Are you making money doing what you love to do? I
know I am. I actually LOVE what I do and am blessed that I get to use not
only my strengths, talents, and training, but also my experiences, my creativity,
and my personality to make impact on the lives of others.
Many
people come to me for Life Coaching around their career or job, and it makes
sense. Think about how much time is spent in the waking hours doing our work. Whether we are in a corporate position, an entrepreneurial endeavor, a career
volunteer, an artistic pursuit or our job is at home. Our work week is filled
up with the "what I do." Many people come to me seeking a new
job, wanting more happiness in their current careers, needing new skills for
success, looking for what they really want to do, creating abundance around their
path or finding courage to do what they have always known they want to do.
Coaching provides a confidential place to give recognition, confidence, tools, perspective and permission on career choices and how it fits in with the many areas of their
entire life.
Below
you will read about 2 client successes, one being my incredible assistant and
former client, Meredith, and the other, is a current client, Laura, and her
recent publishing achievement. I hope you enjoy their stories.
My
path is clear in being of service to inspire others to live in their brilliance.
My work makes me happy and Excavive allows me to be successful in my entrepreneurship,
my coaching, my writing and my inspirational speaking. Rumi said, "Everyone
has been made for some particular work and the desire for that work has been
put in his or her heart." I challenge you to search your heart for what you
really want in your work life, and then find the gumption to create it and act on
it.

Excavive Partnerships
My name is Meredith Williams and for lack of a better term, I am one of Jennifer's "alumni." I am also the Organizational Consultant for Excavive.
I was blessed enough to be one of Jennifer's first clients back in early 2004. At this time in my life I was in a job I disliked and needed direction and lots of it. All of the exercises and homework Jennifer had me complete were an essential part of my journey. At the end of my coaching experience I knew what I needed to do to be happy, but honestly I was not ready to take the necessary steps to make it happen.
Fast forward two years later and an email brought me full circle to my coaching experience. I just happened to send Jennifer, and many of my other friends, an email seeking a new part time employment opportunity for myself. And Jennifer responded with an invitation to me to help her with her coaching business. And the rest as they say is history.
Our partnership is the manifestation of what I discovered during the coaching process with her. Working with Jennifer as an Organizational Consultant allows me to live in my values everyday. And for that I am extremely grateful.
What do I do for Jennifer? She might say a lot, but I tend to say things like help her concentrate on her clients rather than the little details. It is my pleasure to work with Jennifer for I truly believe the process of coaching is essential to be the best that you can be.

Books I Recommend for:
My life love of reading and expanding myself has led me to create a wonderful tool for you - My Reading List. The following books are excellent choices for this month:
- Good to Great by Jim Collins
- 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace by Wayne Dyer
- Strengthsfinder 2.0 by Tom Rath

Excavive Client Success:
When I sought Jennifer's guidance, I actually felt
content with my life, but wanted to explore the "something more" feeling always
tugging at me. I knew there was some greater purpose or beauty I was meant to
pursue and live out as a woman. By consistently turning to my excavated values
(one of the most powerful exercises I've ever experienced), I see that I am at
the helm of a journey where I can "make it up" (a "Jennifer Blair-ism"). I am uncovering the writer- rocker-mama-impacting -laughing
woman who has always been there and creating a life to honor all of those parts
of me. It has not only given me a great
sense of energy and empowerment, but overflows into other areas of life where
my family and friends are positively impacted, as well. As a coach, Jennifer masterfully guides and
questions so that I get to the heart of what is needed each session.
