Oshkosh Area United Way Pacesetter Companies Reach Over 13% of Goal The Oshkosh Area United Way wants to thank companies that ran their United Way campaign prior to September 17th for achieving 13.7 percent of the $1,310,000 goal prior to the 2009-2010 campaign start. This year's goal was announced at the 47th Annual Campaign Kickoff Extravaganza held at Becket's/City Center on Sept. 17, 2009. Companies that ran an early campaign, referred to as Pacesetters, raised over $180,000. The 18 pilot campaign companies were Affinity Medical Group, Associated Bank, Citizensfirst Credit Union, C.R.E.W., Davis & Kuelthau, Evergreen Retirement Community Employees & Residents, Festival Foods, GNC/Stratagraph, Hoffmaster, Horicon Bank, Hydrite Chemical, J. Stadler Machine, Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh Employees & Residents, Miles Kimball Corporation, Shallbetter, Thimke Diamonds and U.S. Bank Consumer Loans and Lease Operations, and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation. In addition to Pacesetter companies, many area agencies and service clubs also ran an early campaign including American Red Cross of East Central WI, ARC- Winnebago County Disability Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, Catholic Charities, Cerebral Palsy of Mideast WI, Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Family Services of Northeast WI, FISC, Legal Action of WI, Oshkosh Area United Way, Oshkosh Area Community Pantry, Oshkosh Community UMCA, Oshkosh Family, Oshkosh Public Library, Oshkosh Southwest Rotary, Reach Counseling Services, The Salvation Army, Winnebago County Literary Council and W.I.N.R. (Wisconsin Interfaith Needs Response). Oshkosh Area United Way Campaign Chair, Sean Fitzgerald states, "We have a long way to go, but if other employers throughout Oshkosh can achieve the same success as the Pacesetter companies by increasing employee participation, they may find it's easier to establish a company record for United Way giving than they previously thought." If you would like to run a company campaign to support the Oshkosh Area United Way, it's not too late to start!
