How to Encourage Customers to Open Your Emails

Most businesses have discovered the tremendous convenience and cost-effectiveness of email. Experts recommend that business owners make a habit of collecting and using their customer's emails. It's a cheap, easy way to advertise. You can send your customers special offers, new product reviews or a monthly newsletter. The goal is to keep yourself in the front of your customer's mind and encourage repeat sales.

However, email does have its setbacks. One of the biggest challenges is getting people to open your emails. Your customers probably get too many messages in their inbox to begin with. And they love using that delete button. If you're email looks boring, irrelevant or promotional, they'll delete it without a second thought.

So how can you increase the odds that you emails will get opened and read?

The secret lies with the subject line.

You subject line is called "teaser copy." It must create curiosity, interest or desire. It should encourage readers to open your message. The trick is to create subject lines that are interesting, but not overly promotional. If your headline reeks of sales power, it will turn people off.

Here are some good rules to follow:

  1. Keep it short. Get your point across quickly. You have a very limited amount of words to work with. Most email boxes can handle subject lines with no more than 60 characters.
  2. Make it intriguing. Avoid boring phrases such as "Hello." Spark your reader's curiosity.
  3. Be specific. Keep your copy energetic and to the point.

Just remember, your subject line is equivalent to the headline of an advertisement. It has to get attention. If you can develop an interesting subject line that captures your reader's interest, you'll see a lot more customers opening your emails!

Demand for Natural Pet Remedies Soar

More and more pet owners are purchasing natural and herbal remedies for their furry friends. A large number of pet owners take natural or herbal supplements themselves. These products work great in improving their own health, so they want to buy similar products for their dogs or cats.

The natural and herbal pet market is experiencing explosive growth. New products are constantly being developed to meet the demand. The biggest area of growth is in joint supplements, followed by skin care products. Pet owners want natural and herbal remedies for conditions like hot spots, fleas, and ear problems. As a result, many companies are coming out with natural products that soothe dry skin, dissolve excess ear wax, and repel fleas. Common ingredients include things like citronella, eucalyptus oil, shea butter, avocado oil, lavender oil, aloe vera, and calendula.

Herbal and natural supplements have also been developed to help combat bad breath, solve digestive problems and get rid of skin odors.
