AGADEZ: the Music and the Rebellion, will have its premiere screening at the Portsmouth Music Hall on October 14th at 2:50pm, as part of the 2010 New Hampshire Film Festival!  The latest documentary by filmmaker and producer of RAIN's videos, Ron Wyman, AGADEZ shares the story of Bombino, a ground-breaking Tuareg musician and native of the Agadez region of Niger.  Ron and Bess Palmisciano of RAIN traveled extensively together in Niger, the film features many of the people and places in which RAIN's work is focused. Those who attended our 2009 Annual Event were lucky enough to see and hear Bombino in person.  His music is a soul stirring mesh of tradition and modernity.  Ron describes Bombino's style of music as"classic Tuareg, peppered with a little Hendrix and a dash of blues."
