Claudia Volk
Claudia Volk, CTP, AAP, is an instructor for George Mason's Certified Treasury Professional Certificate program, a professional development program and a Certified Treasury
Professional (CTP) exam preparation program.

Claudia J. Volk, CTP, AAP, has over 16 years of experience in treasury and cash
management. She has public accounting experience in both tax and audit
with a big four public accounting firm. She is an experienced corporate
and local government practitioner and currently consults for
corporations, local government, and non-profit organizations on
treasury management issues and initiatives.
Volk is an active speaker at national, state and regional conferences.
Her presentations include: Investment Policy Guidelines, Fraud,
Embezzlement & Theft-Loss Prevention Strategies, and Protecting
Customer Information. Her state and regional presentations include:
Managing the RFP Process, Cash Management Fundamentals for Accountants
and the Internet-Initiated ACH. Volk has a master's degree in accounting from Georgetown University.

Dr. Steve Gladis
Dr. Steve Gladis is the instructor for Mason's highly
dynamic Leadership Communication Certificate series. Returning this spring, the four half-day
seminars focus on writing, presenting, persuading and leadership styles. A new workshop, The Transparent Leader,
concludes the series in June.
Dr. Gladis serves as president and CEO of
Steve Gladis Communications, an executive development firm focused on helping
leaders achieve success. Offering executive coaching, professional development
programs, and corporate consulting, his company abides by one basic value-"respect
for our clients and our strategic partners."
Gladis has taught hundreds of clients from a host of companies in the
Northern Virginia region, including Cox, Lockheed Martin, SAIC, FBI, Justice,
DEA, Labor, EPA, The Washington Post, Gannett News, and many others.
He is currently a part-time faculty member in the
George Mason Communications Department.
A former member of the University
of Virginia's faculty, Gladis served
as an Associate Dean in the School of Professional Studies and the Director of the
University's Northern
Virginia Center.
In a previous career as an FBI special agent, he held a number of both
headquarters and field-agent assignments around the country. Gladis has
published numerous magazine and journal articles as well as thirteen books. His
latest two books about leadership are The Journey of the Accidental Leader and The Executive Coach in the
Corporate Forest, the latest book includes a foreword written by Marshall
Goldsmith, the country's leading coach and a bestselling
author.
A committed civic and academic leader, Gladis serves on the Executive Board
of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors for the
Northern Virginia Community Foundation, serves on the School of Professional
Studies Advisory Board at the University of Virginia, is chairman emeritus of
the Board of Trustees of the Washington Math Science Technology Public Charter
High School, and is a former member of the University of Virginia's Faculty
Senate. He is also a former U.S. Marine Corps officer and a Vietnam veteran.
Gladis received three community-based awards: The VALOR Humanitarian Award for
his support of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce program that supports the
children of valiant police officers and firefighters; The Fairfax Chamber
Chairman's Award for service; and, George
Mason University's
Leadership Award for his strong support of teacher and student achievement,
presented by George Mason's Education Honor Society.
