New Name, Same Service

Coventry Health Care's prescription benefit administrator changes its name: Medco® is now Express Scripts®
Medco Health Solutions has been Coventry Health Care's prescription drug benefit administrator since 2010. Medco and Express Scripts recently came together as one company, and the combined company will be called Express Scripts. The process of changing websites, letters, forms and other materials to show solely the Express Scripts name and logo will begin in late August 2012 and take about 18 months. Until the renaming is complete, employers and members may see both Medco and Express Scripts on communications and websites.
It's business as usual for Coventry members and policyholders. The name change does not affect:
- Pharmacy benefits or formularies
- The pharmacy network (Coventry members can continue to use the same retail pharmacies, such as Walgreens.)
- Accredo® (specialty pharmacy) and Medco Pharmacy® (mail-order network pharmacy), which will keep their current names
- Current member ID cards-new ID cards will start to display the Express Scripts name early next year
- Home delivery service
- Pharmacy discounts
- Order forms-the Coventry Health Care health plan website and the toll-free member services telephone number listed on ID cards remain the same
