I am pleased to announce that Kelley Whitaker will be returning as statewide Director of New Sales. Many of you may know Kelley from her previous tenure at Coventry - she was hired in 2002 as a large group Account Executive in Roanoke and was then promoted in 2004 to Manager of Sales for Richmond. That was a tremendous period of growth for us. Kelley brings a deep knowledge of the industry, drive, and enthusiasm with her to this role. Her first day back with us will be Monday, August 27, 2012.

Flexibility - You Asked, We Answered

One of the things we strive for is to stay as flexible as possible. Beginning with September 1, 2012 effective dates, new and renewing large group clients can choose to offer benefits on either our standard contract year basis or on a calendar year for most products. Clients who want to offer calendar year benefits will be offered deductible credit for the first year.

Reminder: New Underwriting Process, 26-99
|
We have made some changes to our underwriting process for clients with 26-99 enrolled employees. See the attached flyer with specifics, including request for member-level census detail. We will no longer require an Employer Group Risk Questionnaire or individual Statements of Health for this size segment, and binder checks will not be required for enrollment. Also attached is an updated Request for Medically Underwritten Proposal Form to use for all 2-99 quote submissions.

If you have not spoken to your account representative about our new SJ POS plans, please do. SJ plans blend aspects of consumer driven plans and qualified plans while still giving members first dollar coverage for PCP office visits, urgent care visits, and tier one drugs.
