Easier Underwriting and Quicker Turnaround 26-99 New Sales
|
We have made some changes to our underwriting process for clients with 26-99 enrolled employees. See the attached flyer with specifics, including request for member-level census detail. We will no longer require an Employer Group Risk Questionnaire or individual Statements of Health for this size segment, and binder checks will not be required for enrollment. Also attached is an updated Request for Medically Underwritten Proposal Form to use for all 2-99 quote submissions.
Please contact your Coventry Account Executive with questions or for additional information.

An Important Reminder Regarding Renewals
|
Providing high-quality service to you and your clients is important to us. Submitting the required renewal information in a timely manner is crucial in ensuring accurate and prompt billing statements. This includes submitting a signed billing services agreement (BSA) for groups rated with broker pass-through fees.
Upon confirmation, give the following information to your Coventry account manager for a smooth renewal:
- Written confirmation of the renewing plan (Preferred method: a completed rate acceptance page from the renewal proposal that includes plan election and a signature from the group contact)
- Plan changes
- BSA signed by both broker and group
To ensure accurate billing, we will no longer process an assumed renewal for groups rated with pass-through. This is a change in our current process for small groups. Please make sure the signed BSA is submitted to your account manager with your renewal confirmation to avoid delays in your group's setup. (Coventry will make an exception to this submission requirement if you currently have a BSA with the employer group and the arrangement is not changing upon renewal. In this situation, the BSA on file will be processed along with the assumed renewal.)
Coventry's new broker pass-through process was developed to give you more flexibility and control over your fees. If you have any questions about the broker pass-through process or the BSA, please contact your account manager.
We appreciate your cooperation. With your help, we can ensure the renewal process is smooth and timely.
