BenefitExpress - Eligibles or Employees?
| Effective immediately, BenefitExpress will be utilized for all cases with 50 or fewer eligible employees. This marks a change from the policy that has been in place for the last year. As a result, for your new BenefitExpress case submissions please submit a Request for Medically Underwritten Proposal. |
Making Census Adjustments in BenefitExpress
| As a reminder, please notify your Account Executive if you wish to make a change to a census or effective date in BenefitExpress for a case that has already been medically underwritten. Any modifications after we have released an underwritten rate require a review of the case and rate changes may occur. |
Composite Equivalent Rates in BenefitExpress
| You may have noticed that beginning with May 1 prospects, your age-gender banded proposals in BenefitExpress contain a new line called "Composite Equivalent." This line simply reflects what the composite rate would have been if the case were more than 14 enrolled subscribers. The equivalent rate is provided for informational purposes only and is not utilized in assessing compliance with contribution or other underwriting guidelines. |
