Southern Health Flu Shot Program
|
Southern Health makes it easy for members to get a flu shot. Members with pharmacy benefits through Southern Health simply:
- Visit a participating pharmacy.
- Present the member ID card and pay the Tier 1 copayment.
- The pharmacist bills Southern Health for the shot.
Participating Pharmacies The following local and chain pharmacies will be participating in the Southern Health flu shot program this 2008-2009 flu season:
CVS Kmart Kroger RiteAid Ukrop's Walgreens Westbury Pharmacy Westwood Pharmacy
Members should check with individual stores to verify their participation in the program.
If a member gets a flu shot by other means, including a third-party flu shot clinic held on-site at the participating pharmacy, the third-party flu shot clinic will not bill Southern Health. The member will have to pay for the vaccine and submit to Southern Health for reimbursement.
Independent pharmacies not included in the list may participate. If a pharmacy is not on this list, members can call the pharmacy to see if they participate in Southern Health's flu shot program.
Members can also call Customer Service at the number on the back of the member ID card for more information. A flyer about the flu shot program is being mailed to all subscribers with Southern Health pharmacy benefits.
