 Anne is an au pair in New Jersey who traveled on our Totally California tour earlier this year. She signed up not knowing anyone!
Below is what she had to say about that... "I knew I didn't want to spend my vacation by staying at home with my host family and my friends didn't have any vacation left. So, I forced myself into taking a step that I would never have done a year ago before I became an au pair -- I signed up alone! Isn't that what we're here for? To take steps, grow, get mature and independent? That's what I'm here for and every step I take makes me feel good and proud of myself."

Anne's thoughts about her trip to California...

 "I arrived at the hotel in San Francisco and met 3 other girls from the group. They were friends - but they asked me to join them. I was very pleased. I had a great day and night with 3 girls that I had just met! The next morning I met the rest of the group, and it turned out that everybody was happy to let me (and the 4 other girls who had signed up alone) in and explore the trip with them. The rest of the week became better and better as I got to know everybody - though it was also great to have some time alone once in a while."
