Disabled Sports USA selected, trained and fielded the USA's winter paralympic team for several decades.

 

We (national) created the U.S. Disabled Ski Team and operated it and a nationwide system of ski races and the national championships for two decades.

 

Later, we integrated the team into U.S. Skiing and gave them control of the team.

 

We selected, trained and fielded the amputee athletes for all sports in the summer paralympic games for nearly three decades.

 

Doug Pringle served on the Board of Directors of the USOC where he led the movement to integrate elite disabled athletes into the USOC. He was on the committee that created U.S. Paralympics.
