Fun Ways to Enjoy Summer Like a Kid
Each summer begins with high hopes for picnics, trips to the ocean and barbeques. But then all the regular tasks of summer: mowing the lawn, cleaning the house and working take up our time filling each day from beginning to end. These are some of our favorite ways to relive some of the beauty that was summer when we were young and carefree.
- Run through the sprinklers
- Enjoy a picnic at the beach
- Get out the sidewalk chalk
- Go to the park and go on the swings
- Eat an ice cream cone outside
Check out our photo album on Facebook and email us pictures of you and your favorite summertime activities or vacations! We'll add your photos to our Facebook album.
"And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer."
~ F. Scott Fitzgerald

Cancer Support Community Valley Ventura Santa Barbara Receives First Cinderella Fund Grant
Meathead Movers and sister company Princess Packers donated $3,594 from the inaugural year of the Cinderella Fund. The fund was established at the inception of Princess Packers in 2011, and will regularly provide grants for children from families suffering hardship due to
a sick parent or families plagued with domestic violence. The company puts aside one dollar for every box packed by Princess Packers, and the 10,000th box was packed on May 15, 2012. A total of $10,782 was dispersed in the first donation to the Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara and the San Luis Obispo Women's Shelter.
Meathead Movers has serviced Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties since 2001. "Financial need shouldn't have to hold anyone back from pursuing their dreams. To children who are coming from homes with a sick parent, being able to participate in positive and uplifting activities is especially important, and we are proud to help children in our community," said Chief Princess Officer, Erin Steed. Giving back is an integral part of Meathead Movers, from the newest hire to the CEO.
