"Helping people take control of their health is a critical step in achieving better health and reducing the cost of health care," said Aetna CEO and President Mark Bertolini. "We will continue to build an evidence base for the mind-body approach to health." To read more about this study, click here

For families with a child with cancer, it can be difficult to find the time and resources to manage the emotional aspects of the journey. After all, managing the medical treatment and recovery from pediatric cancer can be overwhelming in itself.

That's where The Wellness Community comes in. TWCVV is pleased to offer a free, professionally led workshop for the whole family that offers a fun and hands-on way to help empower your child through the journey of cancer treatment. And like all our services, it's free of charge.

Looking for online resources for families affected by pediatric cancer? A great place to start is Young People with Cancer: A Handbook for Parents, from the National Cancer Institute. Click here to read.

This is a free workshop open to children with cancer and their families. Registration is required, and space is limited. Please RSVP via email or at 805.379.4777
