    Stand Up for Cancer Survivors

    If so, you're in luck! Stand Up for Cancer Survivors: A Comedy FUNdraiser for The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will be held October 8 at 7:15pm at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Scherr Forum.

    This special benefit performance will feature standup comics Randy Lubas, Jack Mayberry, and John Di Crosta, all courtesy of Ventura Harbor Comedy Club.

    Garden of Hope



    We would like to thank everyone who has helped us make the Garden of Hope a reality. If you've driven by our building, chances are you've noticed some big changes to our grounds. Work is progressing quickly, and we're excited to bring you the following updates:

    • Thanks to volunteers from Amgen Oncology for preparing the garden area for installation of the irrigation equipment and planting.
    • Structural repairs to the South wall should be completed next week. Thanks to Oltmans Construction and Agoura Sash and Door for their help.
    • A special thank you to Angelus Block Company and Reyes Masonry Contractors who will be donating the materials and labor to construct the Tribute Wall of Hope.
    • Conejo Complete Landscaping and United Way volunteers will celebrate the Day of Caring on Sept. 26 by installing irrigation lines.
    • The Gazebo will be installed in early October
