Greetings!
Oh, the excitement of summer! Skokie Public library is bursting with activities for families from June through August. Would you please help spread the word? Even if your students have been dismissed for the summer, we welcome YOU to enjoy all that the Library has to offer. |
Summer Reading Club 2010
| Skokie Public Library invites people of all ages (babies through adults) to join The Amazing Book Caper summer reading club, which runs from June 1 through July 31. Have fun reading and be rewarded for doing so. All youth reading club members who complete the program goals will receive coupons for free yummy treats at local establishments. Skokie residents and students who attend a Skokie school are eligible to win a limited edition Amazing Book Caper t-shirt. The t-shirt is designed by Library Artist Susan Teller and is made possible by generous donations from Westfield Old Orchard, Dominick's Finer Foods, Duxler Tire, Smiles of Skokie, and Dr. Harold J. Krinsky. |

Teacher's Toolbox
| Curriculum Resources Our Parent-Teacher and Reference collections house a number of helpful books for developing your curriculum and choosing titles to read aloud to your students. If you'd like to spend some time at the Library planning for next year's themes, I'd be happy to sit with you for an hour to show you how easy it is to find books using our catalog, A to Zoo, and other resources.
