The National Black Public Relations Society -Detroit Chapter, and the Cass Technical High School Alumni Association are hosting a conversation in politics -  "Nine Days and Counting...The Future of Government and Voter Expectations," featuring Detroit native, Cass Tech grad, and CNN political analyst Jamal Simmons.  This dynamic event is designed to provide an introspective look into the unprecedented 2008 Presidential campaign, and a thought provoking look forward at the future of political campaigns and the expectations of American voters.

A familiar face to viewers during the entire 2008 election season, Simmons was integral into dissecting the strategy behind the historic Obama campaign. Jamal will address the looming issues casting shadows on the new administration, analyze how communications tools have been used to maintain record voter participation and engagement, and look forward to the first 100 days of an Obama presidency. With two major conflicts abroad, an economic crisis here in Detroit and a global economic slowdown, we look forward to a lively discussion on where the new president will actually lead our nation.
