Congratulations to the girls volleyball team on winning the city championship by defeating Renaissance!! CT also has 4 all city players. They are coached CT Alum , Ed Tomlin (CT 'Class of 89)

Alum Pam English (CT Class of '86) and yearbook teacher wants to encourage alums to place ads in the yearbook. The funding for the yearbook is not in the budget for this year so they are looking to sell ads to offset the cost. Look for more information on this soon.
 
Although Cass Tech did not win the DPS PSL title (Southeastern won), they had already earned a spot in the State Playoffs. Cass Tech will play Warren Mott this Saturday at HOME (Cass Tech) !!! The game is scheduled to begin @ 1:00 p.m. As always, the more CT fans in the stands, the better!!  Contributed by Rita B. (CT Class of '76 and mother of CT class of '07 & CT Class of '10!)

CT Alum Spearhead Lexington Bach Music Festival
Julia Kurtyka  '61
 
Julia Kurtyka, Class of '61, has a BA and MM from University of Michigan. She is the co-founder of the Lexington Bach and Friends music festival.  She has performed as a violinist with Bach Festivals in CA, OH, CO, PA, and MI. She is very active in the classical music productions performing thoughout SE Michigan.

Lee Jones, class of '62, is an active member of the Lexington, MI community where he is a founding director of the Lexington Arts Council. He serves on the Lexington DDA. Lee and his wife, Jennifer, own and operate Weekends, a unique gift shop in the tourist town of Lexington. While a member of the business community he founded the very successful Lexington Music in the Park concert series which is now produced by the Lexington Arts Council.  As a member of the LAC, Lee is the director of the Lexington Arts Council Bach and Friends.

The pageant will be Sunday November 30th. This year's winner will win $10,000 in Scholarships. The Miss Teen Detroit Pageant is presented by Frankie Darcell, from Mix 92.3 FM.  For more information on the pageant, please visit http://www.myspace.com/missteendetroit .

The CTAA is only as successful as the people who take the time to make it successful.  This great organization has alot of growth potential, and can be realized with you being apart of the team!
