Those who have graduated from Cass and who are
now business owners deserve double honors.
Achieving the above and being a lifetime member of
CTAA affords them triple honors. Therefore, in each
issue we will write a short article, saluting these
Entechpreneurs.
If you are a Technician and a business owner don't delay. Join CTAA as a lifetime member, then inform us of your business and we will write an article about you and your business. You may soon have thousands of Technicians laying siege at your door to conduct business with you. HOW TO GET OVER HIM AND LEARN FROM
YOUR
MISTAKES
"Young women are ruining their lives because of the men they pick. Teenage girls are disillusioned into believing they have to show lots of skin to get a boyfriend, and having sex and babies out of wedlock will bring them love. Women who stay in violent relationships end up murdered. Others daydream about perfect weddings and ignore all the warning signs in their abusive partners," says Denecian. "Some women’s problems run deeper than choosing the wrong men. Many women have low self-esteem. They feel they have to accept whatever type of man comes their way." But that doesn’t have to be the case. As a survivor of a seven-year abusive relationship, Denician Angeleia authored, How to Get Over Him and Learn from Your Mistakes. Angeleia delves into the meat of the problem- picking
the wrong men. If you don’t already have a copy,
you need to read this for yourself. Although Angeleia
holds a feministic stance, she inspires you to have
confidence, virtue, and self respect; emphasizing the
importance of trusting in your instincts and following
your gut feelings.
Denician, a Detroit native and mother of two currently resides in Southern California. Having many awards and prestigious affiliations, she is an alumnus of Cass Tech, the Journalism Institute for Minorities, Public Benefit’s SCOOP Program, and Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and TV. AKEELAH AND THE DEE
Vocabulary contest comes to Detroit. The GSN network's National Vocabulary Championship rolls into Detroit Nov. 20, providing an chance for local high school students to win money toward their college savings accounts and their schools. Detroit's Renaissance High School will open its doors to 100 local students who will compete to be the last one standing in a competition that tests vocabulary skills through fun and interactive game play. The Detroit winner will receive $5,000 and a trip to New York for the final competition in February. Cass Tech is also on the list of participating schools. However, there is no coach assigned to Cass. Parents will need to push to make this happen. Click Here for a list of participating schools. http://www.winwithwords.com/compete_detroit.php Cass Tech's National Honor
