STUDENT HAS SUPERHUMAN ABILITIES, NO ONE BELIEVES

Hey Harlan,

I have a superhuman ability that I have never told anyone about. I joke around about having these powers, but nobody believes me. I believe I can help others with my abilities, but I'm scared to tell others the truth and show them what I am capable of doing. Please give me your advice.

Dear Superhuman,

Some women find this incredibly sexy (it goes along with the vampire thing).  I'm sure spiritual mediums James Van Praagh and Sylvia Browne's childhood friends had a hard time believing their super powers. There will always be people who don't believe in mediums, psychics and others with superhuman abilities. And I'm sure if you'd talk to these people, they would say that it's perfectly fine. The point is that not everyone will believe you. So give them permission to not believe. Next, I would talk to a therapist or two to make sure you're not dealing with some health issues that could be making you feel like you have superhuman abilities (and no, I'm not doubting you). Then, I'd reach out to people with similar abilities.  In time, if what you say is legitimate and people are open to believing, the people that matter in your life will see it and believe it. Not everyone is open to seeing and believing.
