Desde ahora me felicitar�n todas las generaciones porque el Poderoso ha hecho obras grandes por m�. Su nombre es Santo y su misericordia llega a sus fieles de generaci�n en generaci�n. �l hace proezas con su brazo, dispersa a los soberbios de coraz�n. Derriba del trono a los poderosos y enaltece a los humildes. A los hambrientos los colma de bienes y a los ricos despide vac�os. Auxilia a Israel su siervo, acord�ndose de su santa alianza seg�n lo hab�a prometido a nuestros padres en favor de Abrah�n y su descendencia por siempre. My soul magnifies the Lord, and
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, according to our ancestors, to Abraham
and to his descendants forever.

A Marianist Work of Justice
Our Lady of Nazareth Primary School is located in the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slum area of Nairobi and is under the care of The Marianists. This school was started as an informal school in 1992 by the Irish Sisters of Mercy and was upgraded to a full primary school when the Marianists assumed responsibility for it in 1997.

SOME CONSIDERATIONS AND PROPOSALS CONCERNING MARIANIST EDUCATION
During November, 2008, the Meeting of Educational
Assistants for the Society of Mary was held in Rome. The participants were those responsible for the Office of Education within the various Units, along with the members of the General Administration.
The fundamental objective was to bolster the Marianist educational mission and support the Education Assistants in the work of their Office. It was an attempt to provide an opportunity to receive information and new ideas, to open up a forum to raise and discuss issues having to do with the duties of the Office of Education,
and to offer a opportunity to affirm and renew our convictions regarding Marianist education.

QUELQUES CONSIDERATIONS ET PROPOSITIONS SUR L'EDUCATION
Il y a un an, au mois de novembre 2008, s'est
tenue � Rome une Rencontre des Assistants
d'Education de la Soci�t� de Marie. Y ont
particip� les responsables de cet office dans les
diverses Unit�s et les membres de l'Administration g�n�rale.
L'objectif fondamental �tait de renforcer la
mission �ducative marianiste et de soutenir
les assistants d'�ducation dans les t�ches
qui font partie de leur office. C'�tait
l'occasion de recevoir des informations et
de nouvelles id�es, d'ouvrir un forum de
discussion o� seraient pos�es les questions
aux responsables de l'Office d'�ducation,
de d�gager un espace privil�gi� pour
affirmer et r�nover nos convictions sur la
p�dagogie marianiste.

ALGUNAS CONSIDERACIONES Y PROPUESTAS SOBRE LA EDUCACI�N
En el mes de noviembre de 2008, hace ahora un a�o, se celebr� en Roma un Encuentro de Asistentes de Educaci�n de la Compa��a de Mar�a. Participamos en �l los responsables de este Oficio de las diferentes Unidades y los miembros de la Administraci�n General.
El objetivo fundamental era reforzar la consistencia de la misi�n educativa marianista y apoyar a los asistentes de educaci�n en las tareas que corresponden a su Oficio. Se trataba de dar la oportunidad de recibir informaciones y nuevas ideas, de abrir un foro de debate
en el que plantearnos cuestiones en torno a los cometidos del Oficio de educaci�n, de propiciar un espacio privilegiado para afirmar y renovar nuestras convicciones sobre la educaci�n marianista.
